China investing $ 20 million turbine factory wake
Investors from China's interest to invest 20 million U.S. dollars to build a turbine engine plant in Indonesia by cooperating with local companies.
"Investors from China will expand by setting up a turbine engine manufacturer.
Thing is one of the factors supporting the construction of power plants being taken by the government," said Director General of High Technology-Based Industries Featured Ministry of Industry (Ministry of Industry), Budi Darmadi, after a hearing with the commission VI of the House of Representatives on Wednesday.
The products will be made by the manufacturer from China, according to Budi, using technology from Europe.
"In the future marketed products using European standards and licensing of China. With the influx of investors from China, Indonesia already has two turbine plants, namely Siemens in London in collaboration with PT Dirgantara Indonesia," he said.
Investment in the turbine engine, said Budi, will increase the use of domestic products.
"This was done as one of the government's efforts to strengthen the goods and reduce the trade deficit. Estimated investment of 20 million U.S. dollars," he said.
Budi said it was encouraging local partners to partner with a company from China.
"We will seek the company of the country to cooperate with Chinese companies making turbines with superb quality," he said.
